Sanny Ng is the Director of COLLECTIVE New York.
Originally from Hong Kong, Sanny has lived in Rome, Rotterdam, Shanghai, Boston, and New York where she received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University and Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University. She is a licensed architect with registration in New York State and LEED Accredited Professional with Building Design + Construction Specialty.
Sanny has 10 years of professional experiences working on various award-winning projects ranging from residential, commercial, cultural, and institutional buildings to urban master plans in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Far East Asia. Prior to starting her own BIM and computational design consulting firm called +IO+ in New York, she has worked at a number of world renowned architecture firms including Diller Scofidio + Renfro in New York, Safdie Architects in Boston, and OMA*AMO in Rotterdam. In 2017, Sanny joined COLLECTIVE leading the New York Office.
While teaching Urban Design Studio at New York Institute of Technology, she has researched on the technical application of geographic information system (GIS). With a strong interest in computational design and trans-disciplinary applications of emerging technology, she endeavors to push the envelope of the practice through cross-disciplinary collaborations, teaching, and researching.
