Lingxiu Chong is an Architect at COLLECTIVE.
She grew up in Singapore and undertook her architectural training at the Architectural Association School of London. She is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects and Royal Institute of British Architects.
In Asia and the US West Coast, her work in architectural design and research addresses historic architecture across a variety of contexts and scales. Prior to joining COLLECTIVE, Lingxiu developed a focus on adaptive re-use and building conservation through her work at the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) and California's leading preservation firm, Page & Turnbull. From masterplan to detail scale, she has worked to restore and revitalize historic spaces in Singapore, China, Los Angeles and San Francisco, for commercial and cultural use.
Lingxiu has previously taught at the Singapore University of Technology and Design and worked on research projects with the Architectural Association in London. She is currently a tutor with the annual AA Visiting School "Moulding Matters" in Naples, Italy.
