#012 K11 x HTC VIVE : ELECTRONIC VIBES

EXHIBITION DESIGN, SCENOGRAPHY & RETAIL

Paying tribute to Herbert Bayer’s “Diagram of 360 Degrees Field of Vision” from 1935, the exhibition design by COLLECTIVE for K11 x HTC VIVE is an expansion of the concept of the field of vision, which the user of HTC VIVE headset will be placed on ‘stages’ off the ground, acknowledging the paradoxical relationship between the user who is viewing an artificial reality, and simultaneously being viewed by audiences in real-time.

The color threads appropriate the presence of lines of vision, which intended to break the flatness of the exhibition creating a dynamic experience with circulation. It is also a tribute to the analog versus the digital, in which a real physical space is weaved by hand with threads versus an artificial space being experienced through a headset.
