INTERIOR DESIGN & VISUAL MERCHANDISING
The Determinant store is designed as an abstracted stage set through using a consistent color of brand color blue as a backdrop, with mobile units standing in space performing the function as a retail shop.
Central to the space is a piece of furniture that echoes the idea of multiplicity of the Shirt Brand, DETERMINANT: one white shirt in 48 sizes.
The transformable devices echo with the idea of a clothing trunk, that opens up and reveals an internal grid formed by a matrix of plains through cuts at different axis. The cuts are choreographed to fulfill functional need of a shirt folding table, vertical hanging display, horizontal folded displays and inventory storage. It is a device for shirts and also an installation piece in space, which guides the shoppers to wander around the trunks as displays to discover the shirts in various formats.
